Here in the US, we take our ice cream seriously! In fact, we are the world’s largest producers and consumers of ice cream! While we’ll take pretty much any ice cream we can get our hands on, statistics show that it’s the premium stuff that we long for. With that, here are four local ice cream shops in and around Anaheim that will go above and beyond your expectations:
La Michoacana Gourmet
927 S. Brookhurst Street, Anaheim, CA 92804
For flavor and recipes “inspired from Mexican heritage and history,” head west on Ball Road from Sundial Apartments to La Michoacana Gourmet. This unique shop features everything from ice cream cakes to churros, juices and smoothies to shaved ice. They also feature unique flavors like Pistachio Paradise and the instantly Instagramable, jet-black Charcoal.
Delight Ice Cream & Drinks
9757 Garden Grove Boulevard #1, Garden Grove, CA 92844
Simply browse the gallery on the Delight Ice Cream & Drinks website and you’ll see for yourself that you’re in for a unique experience. We recommend the Bobalicious, a soft-serve treat served in a fish-shaped cone and topped with Fruity Pebbles.
Cauldron Ice Cream
12900 S. Euclid Street, Garden Grove, CA 92840
Cauldron claims the title of “Home of the OG Puffle Cone.” The Puffle Cone is Cauldron’s spin on the Japanese egg waffle. People Magazine raved about the concoction, writing, “Made from a sweet, egg-based batter, the puffle, well, puffs up when cooked, forming adorable little pockets that makes the cones super Instagram-worthy.”
Tocumba Ice Cream
956 S. Euclid Street, Anaheim, CA 92802
Tocumba is also a quick trip west on Ball Road from Sundial Apartments. There, you can find plenty of Hispanic treats, like paletas—delicious fruit popsicles—fruit drinks, smoothies, and, of course, ice cream.
So what are you waiting for? Head to one of these nearby ice cream shops and enjoy the taste of summer! These premium ice cream menu offerings will not disappoint! We wouldn’t judge you if you felt the need to try them all! And let us know if you find one we haven’t heard of yet.
